Interested in Serving on the SLHBA Board of Directors?

The Southeastern Louisiana Home Builders Association welcomes member involvement and leadership. Nominations for the SLHBA Board of Directors and Officers open on September 1, 2026.

Serving on the Board is a great way to become more engaged, help guide the future of the Association, and give back to the local building community. We would love to have dedicated members consider stepping into a leadership role.

Board Member Expectations

To be eligible for Board or Officer service, nominees must meet the following criteria:

• Attend at least eight (8) of eleven (11) SLHBA Board Meetings, typically held on the third Tuesday of each month
• Maintain current SLHBA membership dues at all times
• Be an active SLHBA member for at least one (1) year to qualify for Board service
• Serve one (1) year on the Board of Directors to be eligible for an Officer position
• Participate in most annual SLHBA events, such as the Golf Tournament, Fish Fry, and Crawfish Boil
• Maintain an above-average reputation in the community and conduct business with integrity
