BASH – BUILDER/ASSOCIATE SOCIAL HOUR No Cost
An informal network gathering held either at the SLHBA office or at your location. Hot Dog Wednesdays have been popular during lunch with our members. Sponsor would provide the lunch or refreshments. Approximately 20-30 in attendance.
Golf & Crawfish Scramble – $100.00-$1,500.00
On May 10, we will host our annual golf tournament and crawfish boil at the Bayou Country Club in Thibodaux. The event will begin with the Golf Registration at 11 AM and Shotgun start promptly at Noon. This 9 hole golf course will not disappoint! The Bayou Country Club will be ours for the day! Games, Food, Beverages and Fun will be held on the entire course. Watch out for some new fun filled games that we promise with get you laughing and having a good time.
Once the tournament ends, all players continue on to our annual crawfish boil at the Bayou Country Club. The entire SLHBA Membership is welcome to purchase advanced tickets to continue on with this exciting event. As the crawfish is being prepared, we will start entertaining with music and more refreshments. Golf awards will be announced during the crawfish boil as well as any Student Scholarships SLHBA will be awarding.
1/2 & 1/2 and door prize tickets will be sold throughout the event and awarded during the awards.

Lunch & Learns – No Cost
Are you able to provide education to our members? Do you have a new innovative product to share? We can schedule you to come in and educate our members. Residential Builders are required to have 6 hours of CEU’s. The sponsor would provide the meal and education for a 1- 3 hour Lunch & Learn. Approximately 15-20 members are in attendance.
Family Fun No Tap Bowling Tournament – $100.00-$750.00
Our Annual Bowling Tournament will be held at Creole Lanes in Houma on April 4th. This is a fun event for the whole family where teams of 4 compete to win prizes for the top 3 teams, and individual prizes for top game. Each team of 4, receives 3 games of bowling, shoe rentals, 1 large pizza, 1 pitcher of beer and unlimited soft drinks.
Team fees for 4 bowlers are $250.00

The SLHBA Annual Fish Fry is held on November 6th. During this event, elections to the board of directors will be held. Approximately 50 people are in attendance.

Holiday Celebration – $100.00-$750.00
The Holiday Celebration will be held in December at Melvin’s in Houma. Newly elected members will be installed as officers and directors of SLHBA. We will honor our past board for their time served in the association and award Builder of the Year and Associate of the Year. SLHBA will also distribute their charitable contributions to local charities of our area.
